DIRECTIONS
Driving from Northern
or Southern Taiwan
Please get on National Freeway 3 to Wufeng System Interchange. Follow the direction towards Puli, Guoxing, and connect to National Freeway 6. Get off National Freeway 6 when you reach Puli, Guoxing Interchange (34 km). After getting off the interchange, turn right immediately, and when you reach River Mei turn right again to Zhongzheng Rd. When you are at the end of Zhongzheng Rd., turn left to Xi’an Rd. Please follow the direction signs lead you up the hill towards Chung Tai Chan Monastery, and when you see a fork road, please turn left and you will arrive at Chung Tai World Museum.
Wood Sculpture Gallery is located beside Chung Tai Chan Monastery, please follow the direction signs to the monastery.
Driving from Eastern Taiwan
Please get on Central Cross-Island Highway 8, when you reach Dayuling turn left to Provincial Highway 14 Jia towards Hehuan Mountain. Reach Wushe to connect to Provincial Highway 14 towards Puli. When you arrive in Puli downtown keep driving along the Provincial Highway 14 on Xinyi Rd. Reach Zhongzheng Rd. then turn right. Keep driving until reaching Xi’an Rd. Turn left and follow the direction signs lead you up the hill towards Chung Tai Chan Monastery, and when you see a fork road, please turn left and you will arrive at Chung Tai World Museum.From Taichung to Puli
After passing Guanyin tunnel 3:-
A.Car Routes
Route 1
After passing the tunnel, turn left at the first intersection to Guanyin Bridge. Keep driving for 500m and turn right at the first fork road. Follow the direction signs to Chung Tai Chan Monastery for 6km and you will arrive at the museum. -
Route 2
After passing the tunnel, turn left at the second intersection to Shanxin Bridge. Follow the direction signs to Chung Tai Chan Monastery for 5km and you will arrive at the museum.
B. Bus Route
After passing Guanyin tunnel 3, keep driving to Puli downtown by driving through Ailan Bridge. Stay on Zhongshan Rd. until seeing Smile gas station, then you turn left to Xinyi Rd. You can turn left on Zhongzheng Rd. and go straight for 5km; Or turn left on Xi’an Rd. and go straight for 6km. When you reach Yongfeng Rd. turn left and you will arrive at the museum.
From Sun Moon Lake
to Chung Tai Chan Monastery
Get on Provincial Highway 21 (towards north), pass Ailan Bridge and drive to Puli downtown. Stay on Zhongshan Rd. until seeing Smile gas station, then you turn left to Xinyi Rd. You can turn left on Zhongzheng Rd. and go straight for 5km; Or turn left on Xi’an Rd. and go straight for 6km. When you reach Yongfeng Rd. turn left and you will arrive at the museum.
From Wushe
to Chung Tai Chan Monastery
Get on Provincial Highway 14 to Puli. Stay on Xinyi Rd. until reaching Xi’an Rd. then you turn right. Keep driving for 6km, or you can turn right on Zhongzheng Rd. and drive for 5km. When you reach Yongfeng Rd. turn left and you will arrive at the museum.
