Varada Mudra
Hand Gesture of Wish-Granting. Shown with the left arm close to the side and slightly bent at the elbow, with the palm facing outward and fingers pointing down. It represents the Buddha's devotion to fulfilling the wishes of all sentient beings. In the Northern and Southern Dynasties, this mudra was often used in combination with the mudra of Granting-No-Fear. It is now commonly seen on images of the Amitabha Buddha.
